Run tested mascaras

Mascara is probably the most impactful item of make-up I use. It makes me feel good to apply because it makes my eyes look better. I even will add a coat before a run (as shown in photo “both before and after”). I have found when I clean up for a run, I feel more energy during the run. Mascara and sunscreen are what I put on my face. All of these have been run tested by me.

Here are a few of my favorites!

Interesting new brand- Sweed

I am always drawn to Women owned businesses. Gabriella Elio is the owner and CEO of Sweed beauty brand. Gabriella opened her first make-up store at the age of 18. Her make-up style is “subtle makeup”…. that transforms… “you into a happier and more confident version of yourself.” It looks great. Very black, easy to apply, and it last all day. I like how it separates and lifts my lashes. I find myself gravitating to wanting to use this one. It is simple & pretty. You will need to remove this style mascara with a makeup remover.

The pictures are of me wearing this for a 10 mile run and the mascara stayed beautiful.

Personally, I do not use waterproof mascara. I find that waterproof mascara dries out my lashes which causes them not to grow and look naturally healthy.

To remove this mascara at the end of day, I use a great drugstore brand. Love the Elf Holy Hydration Make-up melting balm. After using a make-up balm I use a slightly sudsy cleanser.

Best Drugstore mascara

This always looks great, last all day, and it does not flake. It is harder to take off than my “ride or die” favorite brand….but for the price savings I certainly keep this in rotation.

Holy Grail Mascaras

Tartlette X-long tubing mascara

These two “tubing” mascaras are my ride or die mascaras. I have purchased both of these many times. It last all day, gives great length, and does not flake. The super cool thing about tubing mascara is that is washes off with warm water.. The mascara creates “tubes” around your lashes that simply rinse off when you are ready to remove. They make it through my runs too!
